Why the Book Background?

As I was setting up this blog, I was given the option of picking different templates for the blog. I chose this template with the books in the background intentionally. I have joked before that books are my friends. Though I don’t remember necessarily enjoying reading as a kid, reading has become a huge value in my life. Repeatedly God has used books to impact my life. Sometimes that impact has been a huge corrective; other times the impact has been to encourage and stretch me. Below is a list of books that have left their mark in my life. I would encourage you to take a look at the list and consider reading some of these books. I will be put some of this list permanently on the right side of the blog. Hopefully I will be adding to it as time goes on. Here is the list of books:

Welcome to Central Thoughts

Thank you for looking at this new blog. With encouragement from my incredible wife Kerri, I am entering the world of blogging. Central Thoughts will be a blog that might have extra thoughts from messages, observations from life or the Bible, or comments that encourage and challenge people about stuff related to the Lord Jesus. Please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question. Thanks again for stopping by.
